Differences training for retractable gear, variable pitch propeller (often called Complex training), “glass” cockpit, turbo – normalised and oxygen equipped aircraft is available on our Piper Arrow IV and the group Cirrus SR22T.
Piper Arrow and Piper Arrow Rental
For those who have never flown a complex aircraft before, a five hour differences course is required in order to hire the Piper Arrow. This is then signed off in your log book by the instructor who completes the training. It’s a one off requirement with no test. However, like any new flying skill, it may need to be reviewed if not used regularly. For those who have completed the training some time in the past, only a checkout – or possibly some refresher training – will be required before solo rental.
